Kirsten has written Saving Grace: Tell the Truth, Be centered and learn to live with those who drive you nuts (Convergent book). Jon Meacham said it was "a wonderful gift for an urgent time" and Kate Bowler called Saving Grace an inspiring call to truth and love that can coexist. Kirsten previously worked as reporter at The Daily Beast, the Daily Beast and American Prospect Online. The Columbia Journalism Review referred to Kirsten as an "outspoken liberal" journalist even in the face of criticism of Fox News. She was prior to that a political analyst for Fox News.
