Maureen Denise McCormick - the youngest of Richard McCormick's sons - was born at Woodland Hills in the year 1956. Her father worked as a school teacher and her mother as an at-home mom. Michael Dennis, Kevin and Dennis are her three oldest brothers. McCormick began dancing and singing at an early age and frequently performed puppet shows in front of the kids in her community. When McCormick was six years older, she was crowned the Baby Miss San Fernando Valley pageant. Pat Domigan at Jack Wormser Agency approached her to ask her if she'd be interested in entering the show business. McCormick's first big job was in 1964 which was when she appeared in a commercial on TV for Mattels new Baby Pattaburp doll. The commercial was re-run in 1964, for Mattels Chatty Cathy toy and soon was chosen to play the lead role in the play Wind It Up and It is Broken, a show in the La Jolla Playhouse. The Brady Bunch McCormick, who was selected from over 1500 auditioned children, was cast as the older of three two-headed daughters in The Brady Bunch (1969) with Florence Henderson and Robert Reed. The show ran for five seasons and the show proved to be a huge successful one. McCormick in her memoir Heres the Story Surviving Marcia Brady and Finding My True Voice Published in 2008 McCormick revealed how during the fifth season of the television show, she was close to losing her the love of her life to her twin brother Barry Williams. In the moment, she was just 16 years old and he was 19. The incident could have occurred, she stated, but the time wasn't the right time for us.
